i recently got a pet tortoise.  animals are good for the soul (as are many other things) and i can’t have a dog so naturally, a tortoise makes sense.  

he’s awesome!  but slightly freaky and i don’t really understand if the things he is doing are normal behavior or not.  currently he is half-buried in coconut dirt.  why would he do that?  is he too cold?  is he too hot?  is he trying to hibernate???
i am so worried about this guy!  
so much for the joys of pet ownership…maybe after we pass the 1 month mark i’ll start to relax?
