tomorrow i am going to the bmv to get a new york driver’s license.  this is no big deal right?  but i’m actually pretty sad about having to give up my ohio license.  it just doesn’t feel right and i don’t really want to have to do it.  forget about how awful the bmv is on a regular occasion, i just hope i don’t burst into tears when i have to hand over proof of my ohio residency.  

the reason i’m getting a ny license is so that i can claim residency here and hopefully get a little help and a little grocery money from the government.  we’ll see.  if i do then it will definitely be worth it.  i like new york (most things about it) but my heart will always belong to the heart of it all.  

so, would it be overkill to sleep with my ohio license under the pillow tonight?
